Tom Bixler, Assistant Director of Operations

• Tom has spent the 16 years of his career working toward sustainable development in Florida. As an environmental scientist, Tom has worked on the Florida Forever and Florida 2000 property preservation legislation, FDEP contamination remediation and monitoring protocol, and consulting projects throughout the state. As a landscape designer Tom has worked with individuals, businesses, and municipalities to establish low impact outdoor development utilizing native plants, pervious hardscapes, innovative onsite rainwater containment, and efficient irrigation techniques.

The Mission of the Green Building Group is to foster responsible use of resources through education and consulting, as well as assisting in quantifying the impact of construction and lifestyles on the environment and energy resources through independent Green Standards and Energy Rating systems.

Green Building Group functions as an LLC with three managing members. Our experience combined with that of our professional associates provides a diverse and encompassing wealth of knowledgeable resources.
